Korean nukes bad for Iran?

At least one Israeli politician believes so, Silvan Shalom. Jerusalem Post, Shalom: China, Russia will join world against Iran:

MK Silvan Shalom (Likud) told Israel Radio Tuesday morning that as a result of North Korea's nuclear weapons test Russia and China would fall in line with the rest of the international community to combat Iran's nuclear ambitions.

According to the former foreign minister, during past years Chinese and Russian policies have been dictated by economic interests, but now that pattern would change.

I wish I had the same optimism that Shalom does. It's likely that North Korea will stoke the fires of Iranian/terrorist nuclear ambitions. Not unintentionally deter them, as Shalom suggests. Time will tell.
